Hence, keeping this fact in mind, various programs have been designed in order to meet with this challenge.

The PG Diploma and Diploma courses are specifically intended to provide medical aspirants and practitioners an opportunity to improve their skills and knowledge in Maternal and Child Health (MCH) in order to be able to provide better quality services.

Should be able to handle Health Care Services at various institutional levels;

Effectively tackle the National Health Programmes and manage disease outbreaks;

Conduct normal delivery, providing antenatal care including the ones with high risk pregnancy;

Offer family planning services and managing gynaecological morbidity;

Assess development and growth of children, get information on their nutritional needs and handle their respective problems.

Various institutes in India are offering PG DIPLOMA IN MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH either as a distance education program or a regular one.
